Disneyland the Second Time Around

Disneyland the second time and we felt like pros.
Both kids were braver and went on more rides.  Coral even asked if she could do Splash Mountain.  I would have taken her, but it was freezing outside after getting wet from the drop.

We had so much fun and I look forward to going again.  It seems to get better and better each time.  Watch out!  I'm becoming a Disneyaholic.  And it is SO, SO pretty at Christmas time.

Waiting for our shuttle to Disneyland.

Waiting in line for Tinkerbell (lots of waiting at Disneyland when you go on Thanksgiving Day).

All of the grand kids, waiting in line.  Almost there . . .

The whole family (minus Grandpa who wouldn't wait in line) getting closer and closer to Tinkerbell.

TINKERBELL!!!!!  Coral ran right up to her and started talking and talking, and as you can tell, Tinkerbell was not listening.  But Coral still loved the whole 30 seconds.  I'm not so sure we will be waiting in line again for characters.

Coral and her cousin/best friend (or frenemy because it's really a love/hate relationship).

 Happy to be here!

Coral is REALLY happy.  Nothing beats seeing your kids eyes light up like this.

It's a Small World or The Whole World of the Day as Coral calls it, which is her favorite ride.
The two girls were ecstatic.

Love the posing.
My two beautiful kids.

We can hardly wait for the next trip to Disneyland!

Announcing Good News

I think I've spoken to many of you who read my blog about the possible good news and change for our family, but I now know it is official.

If any of you were hoping we were announcing we were pregnant . . .

Well . . .

I'm sorry.  That is not the news.

Here is the news:

I've been offered a job to work for an office furniture supply company called New Life Office as their office manager here in their Las Vegas location.  The company headquarters is located in Salt Lake City with one branch in Las Vegas and another in Boise, Idaho.  I've VERY excited about this opportunity for quite a few reasons.  Let me count the ways:
1. It is a part time position which will become full time in the near future.
I haven't worked away from home since having children, so I am very relieved/less anxious about a part time position and very excited about the opportunity to slowly work in to a full time position.

2. I will be able to drop Daniel off and pick him up from school each day.  He won't even know I am gone when he is in school.

3. When Carlo can't be home, my mom will watch Coral and Daniel (when Daniel is not in school).  This is the biggest blessing of all.

4. The company is very family orientated and has great values (a lot like my own ;)).

5. It is also a very small office, which I tend to like.

There are many more reasons why I am excited about this job, but I won't bore you.

So, that's the big news.  I'm becoming a working mom.  It'll be an adjustment, but I am ready!

Bring it on!!!!

Something Funny, Something Not & Maybe Some Good News

Funny:

As I was going to the bathroom, Coral came in and asked if she could wipe me.  Hmmm. . . .

Not:

My kids both had temperatures last week.  Coral started with another one this week and now Daniel has gotten really sick with a respiratory infection and high fever.  Good thing I have the nebulizer.

I'll be honest- having sick kids stresses me out.  I think it probably does for every parent because of the lack of sleep.  But when Daniel gets sick, I really stress out.  The last time he was sick with a respiratory infection, he ended up in the E.R. because he was allergic to the viral infection- bruising on his hands and feet, blood vessels that would rupture if you barely touched him causing his skin to look horrible . . .  needless to say, I'm trying not to freak out that he'll be allergic to this virus too, even though what happened to him was extremely rare.

Take a deep breath mom!

Maybe Some Good News:

I don't want to jinx myself, but there might be some changes in our family soon.  I'll let you know in the next few weeks. :)
