My allergies are killing me. If it's not the itchy eyes I want to scratch out, then it's the runny nose or the itchy skin or the constant sneezing (sneezing more than three times should not be allowed- I'm going to make that a rule on my own planet when I create it) and then there is the coughing that starts and then the wheezing because I can't breath . . . and I said I like spring.
I really ought to go to the doctors, but we just got our bill from Daniel's ER visit. Should I share? Why not.
$2,500
Yep folks, that is what we are responsible for. I had a nice chat with our insurance company so I could understand our bill and EoB (Estimation of Benefits). Let's just say, we have met our deductible for the year. Always something on the bright side.
Like how Carlo received a notice for jury duty. No, this isn't the bright side, but stress yet again from another jury duty notice. We've had a few debacles in the past with this.
Then he checked the computer to see when he needed to show and was told he didn't need to report! See?! Bright side.
Oh, back to my allergies which was leading to the Mom's Get Grumpy Too title.
Yes, I have been grumpy. Not feeling well will do that to a person. Or maybe it is just me?
I woke up yesterday morning not able to breath well and had snot running continuously out of my nose- the watery kind. I needed to take some drastic measures so I took my normal Alavert, popped a Benadryl and squirted some eye drops in my eyes.
Benadryl makes me very, very sleepy. But I had to get up, get Daniel ready and take him to school. Even though I can walk him to school, I was very thankful for the drop off line.
Then I decided to work on my sewing blog to keep me awake and groggily deleted my needed photos from Photobucket. Oops. That required some fixing- a lot of fixing.
Lots of craziness, but I am thankful for a son who loves me.
I was rushing him and ordering him and scolding him and said, "I am so excited you are going to school today."
I hurt his feelings. He went in to the other room and started crying.
He's so tender just like I was at that age- well, and I wasn't a very nice mom.
So, I took a breath and went and hugged him and told him how much I loved him and that I really would miss him while he was gone.
His eyes lit up and a few moments later he brought me our "coins" I used at the beginning of the school year. He kept one in his pocket to know I was thinking of him and I kept one in my pocket to know he was thinking of me. We haven't used them since the first month of school, and I don't know where he dug them out of, but he brought me mine so we could use them again.
I love that kid. I don't know what I did to get blessed with such a special spirit.
